About Us

boringboring.cn is not a website trying to change the world.
It was born to leave a little gap in the world — a place where you can occasionally stop, and waste a bit of time.

Our initial idea wasn’t grand at all — we simply wanted to collect some “strange little things” from the corners of the internet.
These pages might have no clear purpose, no complex interactions, no “productive value” at all — they might even look like something someone casually made in the middle of the night.
And yet, these things gave us a strange sense of warmth: they had no goal, but they were utterly sincere.

So we began a project — to find these “useless things” and put them together, so more people could stumble upon them by accident.
This project has lasted for two and a half years, during which we experienced countless moments of self-doubt:
“Does this really mean anything?”
“Isn’t this a waste of life?”
Our answer: precisely because it might be meaningless, it’s worth doing.
